Little Cupcake

We have had a busy weekend (and it's not over yet)! Friday we went trick or treating at Marmee's work. Lucy got the hang of the whole treat thing pretty quick. At one point marmee gave her a LARGE sucker, which she drooled all over the place, mommy politely took the sucker away and was met with the biggest fit you have ever seen. Can you believe (it took her a minute to figure out how to do it)she threw herself on the ground in that costume. This little girl likes her dum-dumbs.

Friday night we had dinner in a pumpkin. It taste A LOT better than it looks. After dinner we went to a haunted house/carnival at the fire department. They had lots of games for kids, and both L and E loved to "fish" for ghosts. Lucy almost took someones eye out.

Word of the week

It feels like NO is the only word I hear out of Lucy these days! Today I told her to say cheese for the camera, she turned her back and yelled at the top of her lungs NOOOOO! She is such a drama queen :) She's been picking words up so quickly lately, her new words this week are, poppa, pumpkin, purple, cheese and tea (party).

Telling me NO

I was over at my mom and dad's the other day and found this Minnie Mouse from my first trip to Disney back in 1986! Lucy loves it and it will be joining us in December.

6 Years

It's hard to believe these pictures were taken six years ago! Andy and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Saturday. We started the weekend off by having dinner with my aunt and uncle who were in town from Ohio, yummy BBQ. Saturday morning Lucy had gymnastics, Muv (Andy's mom) took her since she was watching her for the day while we went to Six Flags. Andy and I had planned to leave the house early and enjoy a day of riding and people watching, however we were running a little late so we decided to wait till after Lu's gym. It was so much fun to watch her she loves the trampoline and the balance beam. We had a blast riding roller coasters and watching people in line, but discovered we are not as young as we use to be! On Sunday after church we headed over to the pumpkin patch with our little pumpkin, and then my mom and dad watched Lucy while we went to dinner. Thanks to both our parents for giving us some alone time this weekend!

Headed to the gym.

I'll take this one!

Really?! Please don't show these to my first boyfriend!!!!

Lucy Lu's Room

Show us your life...So this is my FAVORITE room ever!
(So it goes with out saying picture overload!)
You know how the first few weeks your pregnant you have crazy dreams? Well at least I did, and I dreamed about this room, which is so funny because I just KNEW I was having a boy! The overall concept of the room is Lucy is Cinderella (that is why you see no Cinderella painted on the wall). The crib bedding was made to look like Cinderella's ball gown, so it was like she was wearing it (I know a little abstract).
Her "play" area is a castle under the trees which have bookshelves built in, and inside are flowers and clouds painted on the wall. I hand painted a garden cart for toys. The mice in the corner are helping to make her pink dress for the ball with a little sewing basket and the cat Lucifer watching. Over the closet it says, "one shoe can change your life". I hand glued all the crystals on the wall (9 months pregnant up on a ladder at 2am). I picked up the hand mirrors from friends and antique shops and the pictures are the four different Disney castles from around the world (Tokyo, California, Orlando, and Paris). Her big girl bed is sitting in the basement just waiting for her, it is Cinderella's carriage.
My mom gets a BIG thank you, with out her this room would NOT of come together like it did! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Excitement Builds

Lucy and I have been enjoying being at home for the past couple of days. My sister in law, Tiffany has been working on sewing Evelyn's dress for Lunch at Cinderella's royal table, for our December trip to Disney so I have been watching her in the morning so she can sew. We have been working on the girls clothes for Disney, and trying to stay on a budget is DIFFICULT! I have been looking for used custom items on Ebay and there is not much in 12-18 months, but I did luck out last week! 3 outfits came up for auction in a 2T, two of the 3 were capri sets (which means they will fit my shorty as pants right now, which is perfect for December!) My heart races whenever I bid on ebay, I tell myself before this is not a competition, you have a budget, stick to it (this usually works)! I won one of them for the price I wanted, I was so excited! Lucy is going to wear it to 1900 Park fare the last night we are there. I was worried about the fit, but it came in the mail the other day and just as I suspected fits her like pants and a little dress. LOVE IT!

I also have been working on blankets for their strollers and here is what I have so far. We are getting so excited and it's still 2 months away!

cute and a big mess

Show us you life this week is office. Since the new houses office is just a big empty room with a desk and computer, I will show you pictures from the old house. The "office" was in the guest room closet.

I missed Kitchens last week so I will throw in some pictures of that too. The "laundry room" is part of the kitchen.
