We wish you a Merry Christmas (and a happy birthday too)!

We slept in on Christmas morning, but decided the night before we should all be showered, hair and makeup on before coming down to open presents. My mom made Monkey bread and hot chocolate while we opened gifts. The girls really enjoyed playing with the birthday balloons (not quite a cardboard box but close to it :)  After a group picture we headed to Epcot for the day.

We had a very calm day and enjoyed walking around the world showcase at Epcot and listening to Santa's from all over the world. We had lunch at Le Cellier which was AMAZING and took lots of pictures. We had dinner at the Biergarten and saw the 6:30 performance of the Candlelight Processional, it is so inspiring to watch (even trying to hold on to a squirmy 18m old, I ended up having to give her a candy necklace). I just love all the music and it was the perfect ending to a great Christmas day!

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Twas the day before Christmas all through the house and all that I heard was "We go see Mickey Mouse."
 Friday was Christmas Eve and we spent the day at Disney's Hollywood Studios again.  We repeated the strategy from the previous day and rode the Rockin Roller Coaster and The Tower of Terror first.  This paid off at the end of the day because we ended up riding the Rockin Roller Coaster three times!  Of course we had to go visit Mickey and friends, Handy Manny and Pooh at Playhouse Disney.  This time Lucy made a friend nearby and danced during most of the show.  She napped while the "adults" had one last Championship match on Toy Story Mania.  Adam won by a narrow margin. 

Lucy woke up from her nap and we had lunch at the Sci Fi Drive - In.  After lunch we caught one of the American Idol shows.  Lucy loved watching the people sing and danced along to all of the songs. 

We had reservations at the Brown Derby for dinner.  We got there a little early and Lucy and Evelyn passed the time playing on the benches around the Fantasia bushes.  I swear at one point they were discussing all of the world's problems like Charlie Brown and Linus.

 Dinner was really good, but all Lucy wanted was "sice" (that means ice chips) because the poor girl was cutting more teeth.  She asked the waiter for "sice feez" (ice please) and he brought her a glow-in-the-dark ice cube.  We ended the night strolling through the Osbourne Lights.  Lucy loved to try and catch the "snow."  So we headed back to the Villa to put Santa's cookies and milk out.  The stocking were hung on the stairway with care with hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.  The children were nestled all snug in their beds, some with dum dums still stuck to their heads.  And Ma in her pjs and me in my cap both settled down because we both needed a NAP.

Bring on the Magic - Part 2

Wednesday was a big day; Lucy got her first hair cut, we had lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table and dinner at California Grill and the parks were really getting crowded. We arrived when the park opened which is best (at least in my opinion). Lucy is in love with Tinkerbelle so we stood in line to meet her and wouldn't you know it the little stinker fell asleep, so after lunch we made a return visit with her awake. Lucy loved the street parade/dance party she really got out there with the characters.

Tonight held a BIG first for mommy I hired my first babysitter! She was the sweetest lady from Kids Nite Out she came to the hotel room while we went to California Grill and watched the fireworks from the restaurants viewing area. She said Lucy fell asleep about 15minutes after she got there!!!! I got to enjoy an adult dinner and Lucy got a full night sleep, well worth it!

The new face of Disney

Here are the professional photos that were taken on the first day at the Magic Kingdom park opening during the song and dance number. I downloaded them from the photo pass site and next to each picture (seriously each picture) was a signed release. I guess Disney has done this once or twice and does not want to get sued :)
